According to country's 20-Year Vision Plan, very onerous duty of food security has been assigned to natural resources and agriculture sector. Iranian society should achieve a first class economic, scientific and technological status in southwest Asia region in the horizon of this plan in the year 2025 through software movement and science production, rapid and constant economic growth, and comparative promotion of per capita income level and achieving full employment. On the other hand, the 4^th economic development plan was as the first step in planning for actualization of country's 20-year outlook plan. It has considered possible the achieving a diversified economy and productivity growth, and as specific, in agriculture sector, one of the important solutions to achieve this goal has been predicted through the dramatic development of applied agricultural research, support of entrepreneurship, innovation and technical and research talents.

Tehran Agricultural and Natural Resources Research Center (TANRC) has organized its human and research resources in the research departments and executive units (which has been presented in Structure Menu) based on the ahead missions and knowledge-based objectives of Agricultural Research, Education and Extension Organization (AREEO).
